You came from scenichelicopters.com.au

Hi. I'm Spencer.
I built that site.

Thanks for clicking through — I hope it's because you liked what you saw.

I design and build custom websites and software for small businesses. Not templates, not page builders — proper software, written for how the business actually works.

Here's what sits behind the site you were just on, what it costs to get one, and how to talk to me about yours.

Scenic Helicopters — scenichelicopters.com.au

Scenic Helicopters · Built 2026 · launching soon

Premium helicopter tours across Western Australia — an ageing WordPress site replaced with one the operator runs entirely themselves.

Under the hood

What's actually in Scenic Helicopters

Most of this you can't see from the outside. It's the part that decides whether a site earns its keep or just sits there.

A site the client actually runs

Every tour, every region page, the homepage hero, the About page — all edited by the client, not by me. Changes are live in about a minute. No rebuild, no deploy, no developer.

The page that keeps changing

The weddings page is built from reorderable blocks. Add a section, reword it, move it, change its background, hide the photo gallery for a season — all without code. It has been rewritten three times; it will not need a fourth.

Nine tours, four expeditions, three regions

From 30-minute scenic flights to multi-day expeditions to Broome and Exmouth, each with its own pricing, duration and photography. A new tour adds itself to the sitemap.

An interactive map of WA

A custom map of the flying regions — South West, Great Southern, Coral Coast — that puts a visitor into the right tours for where they actually want to fly.

Enquiries that reach a person

Booking and wedding enquiry forms validated the same way in the browser and on the server, delivered straight to the inbox and spam-trapped. Nothing sits in a dashboard waiting to be noticed.

Social cards without a designer

Every page renders its own branded preview image when someone shares it. New tour, new card, nobody in the loop.

A Next.js and Sanity rebuild of a WordPress site — 14 content types across 44 components. The brief was a site that matches the price point of the product. The part that mattered was handing a tourism operator with no technical staff a website they own outright, with a written guide to every field in it.

How it works

Three steps. No surprises.

01

A 30 minute call

You tell me what the business does and what you want the site to do. I tell you whether I'm the right person for it. No pitch deck, no sales script.

02

A fixed scope and price

I write down exactly what gets built, what it costs and when it lands. You approve it before anything starts. The number does not move unless you ask for more.

03

You see it as it happens

You get a live link from week one and watch it come together. Feedback goes in as we go, not in one painful review at the end.

The question everyone asks

Most builds start at $5,000.

I'd rather tell you now than three emails in. A straightforward site for a small business starts around there. Something like Scenic Helicopters — memberships, logins, payments, a directory — costs more, and I'll tell you exactly how much before you commit to anything.

If that number works for you, book a time below. If it doesn't, no hard feelings — and I'd still rather you knew.

Book a time

Thirty minutes. Pick a slot.

Tell me what you're trying to build. If I'm not the right fit I'll say so on the call and point you somewhere better.

Not ready for a call?

Email me the address of your current site and a line about what's not working. I'll write back with what I'd change and what it would cost. No call, no follow-up sequence.
